Bacon Wrapped Carrots
Sometimes the side deserves to be the star.
Time: 1.5-hrs
Makes: 2-6 depending how greedy...
Step 1: Oven Prep!
Set oven rack to middle and preheat at 400-degF.
Step 2: Prep the Pan.
Place foil in pan, with plenty of extra sticking out left and right sides that will fully cover top of carrots later. Sprinkle dash of salt, pepper and Cumin evenly across flattened foil. Wrap each carrot in a single slice of bacon and place in pan (ends of bacon down to stay in place). Sprinkle top side with another dash of salt, pepper and Cumin. Drizzle 1/4 cup (half now, half later in step 3 below) of Maple Syrup across top. Fold securely foil over carrots to keep heat/steam in. Place in oven for 45min.
Step 3: Turn an pour.
After cooking for 45min, remove from oven. Turn over carrots carefully so bacon does not fall off. Drizzle remaining Maple syrup across top. Return foil covering securely. Place back in oven another 45min.
Step 4: Serve
Serve immedietly! Tip: It will smell tempting, but leave the remaining juices in pan.
