Time: 4.5hrs

Makes: 6-8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3lb. Butterball boneless Turkey Breast (the blue frozen pack)

  • 1 Cup Apple Cider (Publix has)

  • 4 fresh sprigs of Thyme

  • 1/3 Cup Maple Syrup

  • 2 TBSP Dijon Mustard

  • 1.5 tsp Kosher salt (divided in half)

  • 1/8 tsp BlackPepper

  • 1 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 2 TBSP Water

  • 5 tsp Corn Starch

Thaw time: If thawing frozen Turkey in fridge, keep it there 2 days prior to using (ie: if put on at 1pm then place in fridge around 1pm 2 days prior).

Step1: Flavor Prep

In small pot add the 1 Cup Apple Cider and the fresh Thyme sprigs to a pot and set hi to boil. Continue to boil for about 5 or 10 minutes until reduced some. Remove from heat. Then remove the Thyme (ok if some leaves stay in). Stir in the Maple Syrup and Dijon Mustard.

Step2: Let it cook

Place the thawed Turkey into Crock Pot on HIGH. Pour the hot mixture above over Turkey. Sprinkle evenly on top/sides 3/4 tsp of Kosher Salt. Let cook for 4 hours on HIGH. Do NOT remove lid during this time.

Tip: Forgot the Apple Cider? No Problem. Take some broth and add a little Apple Cider Vinegar in Step 1.

Step3: Gravy Train

Carefully move Turkey to a plate and cover with Aluminum Foil. Carefully pour the remaining juices in Crock Pot through strainer to remove solids. Then pour the strained liquid into a pan, set to med-high to boil. Add the remaining 3/4 tsp Kosher salt, 1/8tsp black pepper. Mix the corn starch and water and add to pan. Boil while regularly whisking (important!) for 10 minutes. Then turn heat off and add the 1 TBSP of Apple Cider Vinegar. Serve as a Turkey sidekick and enjoy!
