Sausage Soup
Simple yet tasty
Time: 5hrs (1hr prep, 4hrs cook)
Makes: 12 servings
Ingredients:
1/2 onion
1 Jimmy Dean Hot sausage
1 Jimmy Dean Maple sausage
2 TBSN Italian Seasoning
1 Box Chicken or Veggie broth
2 Chicken bouillon cubes
4 shakes Worcestershire Sauce
Pinch of salt, pepper, garlic powder
2.5 cups water
1 can of diced tomatoes
2 Zucchini
Head of Cauliflower florets
1 small head of cabbage
Step1: Cook the Meat
Dice the onion and cook with both sausage packs until done. Drain grease, then add to crock pot.
Step2: Add more
Now in the crock pot add the pinch of salt, pepper and garlic powder, 2 TBSN Italian Seasoning, box of broth, bouillon cubes, Worcestershire sauce, water and tomatoes. Stir well.
Step4: Leave it
Set crock pot to High, let it cook for about 4 hours, or until the Zucchini, Cauliflower and cabbage to desired tenderness.
Step3: Top if off
Dice the Zucchini, Cauliflower and cabbage. Keep separate (like pic below). Layer them on top of crock pot (no stirring in): First Zucchini, then Cauliflower, then finally cabbage - keep adding cabbage until fills up to lid essentially.
